Everything Coming to Disney+ in July
Disney+ has a pretty varied lineup for July, but most of it is geared toward adults. The main highlights are the long anticipated return of X-Men ‘97, some new episodes of The Simpsons, and a new Dancing With the Stars spin-off. Disney+ will also be streaming The ESPYS, a special 4th of July event, and Lollapalooza. At the very least, everyone can enjoy something in the long list of premieres arriving for SharkFest, which is happening a couple of weeks before the Discovery Channel’s Shark Week. Everything Coming to Disney+ in July July 1X-Men '97 Season 2 – Three-Episode PremiereAbandoned (Hulu Original) – PremiereKing & Prince: Our Meet-Up in LA – New EpisodeMagicampers Season 1 – New EpisodesDisney+ is kicking off the month strong with arguably one of the most exciting premieres on the service in July. We called X-Men ‘97 season 1 one of the best X-Men adaptations of all time, and it’s been a somewhat agonizing two years waiting for a second season. Thankfully, it’s looking like the wait was worthwhile. Disney+ is dropping three new episodes before transitioning to a one episode per week schedule for the rest of the nine-episode season. The Japanese series King & Prince: Our Meet-Up in LA will continue to get new episodes every Wednesday. Abandoned is a new mini-series that follows three abandoned siblings from Barcelona who, as adults, try to find out who their parents were. That series will be dropping all four episodes at once. July 3Disney Celebrates America (ABC News Live) – 24-hour programming beginsThe Simpsons: Simpsley – Disney+ Exclusive EpisodeDisney+ will be streaming a special 24-hour long broadcast in celebration of the 4th of July that actually kicks off on the 3rd of the month. The broadcast will include livestreams of fireworks, the festivities at Disney parks, and musical performances. This is also the day Disney+ will be getting one of three new and exclusive episodes of The Simpsons. The first new episode appeared on the service back in June, while the third and final (of the three specials, no way the series is ending any time soon) will stream in August. July 4Disney Celebrates America stream concludesJuly 5 SHARKFEST: Hammerhead Sharks Up Close with Bertie GregoryWorld's Biggest MakoAttack of the Samurai SharksShark vs. Giant CrocShark Island ShowdownSharks: Reef RivalsGreat White GauntletShark lovers, this is the day to mark in your calendars. As the streaming home for National Geographic’s SharkFest, Disney+ will be premiering a massive spread of shark-themed series .July 6 Doctor on the Edge (Hulu Original) – New EpisodeDoctor on the Edge, a K-drama about a plastic surgeon performing his mandatory military service, will continue to stream new episodes on Disney+ and Hulu every Monday and Tuesday. July 7Doctor on the Edge (Hulu Original) – New EpisodeJuly 8 Bluey Compilations – PremiereKing & Prince: Our Meet-Up in LA – New EpisodeX-Men '97 Season 2 – New EpisodeThere’s not a whole lot of info about what exactly this means, but Disney+ is theoretically getting a new spread of ‘Bluey compilations.’ It’s definitely not new episodes, so my guess is it’s a new streaming channel or variation of what’s available on the official Bluey YouTube channel. July 10Project Runway Season 22 – PremiereThe new season of Project Runway will actually be premiering with two episodes before continuing on with one new episode every Thursday. Episodes will be available to stream after they air on Freeform, and one thing to keep an eye out for this season is Tyra Banks returning as a guest judge. July 11Theme Song Takeover Season 6 – New EpisodesJuly 13Rabbit Hole Season 1 (Pocketwatch)This one makes me feel pretty old. Disney+ is pitching Rabbit Hole as the “ultimate teen variety show.” The series features 36 teen cast members who are, for the most part, content creators on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Twitch. The first season will include 10 episodes that each include a full 30 minutes of skits, challenges, and collabs. July 14 Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro – PremiereMarvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends Season 5 – New EpisodesDancing With the Stars will premiere a 35th season this fall, but the series is getting a new spin-off before then. The Next Pro will have a pretty similar concept to the original competition series, except instead of occasionally uncoordinated celebrities, you’ll get to watch 12 aspiring professionals compete to be a ‘Pro’ on the show’s next season. The reality series will stream new episodes every Tuesday at the same time as they air on ABC. July 15King & Prince: Our Meet-Up in LA – New EpisodeX-Men '97 Season 2 – New EpisodeJuly 16 The 2026 ESPY Awards Presented by Capital OneDisney+ subscribers will be able to stream the 2026 ESPY Awards, ESPN’s annual awards show that celebrates top athletes over the past year. This year’s ceremony will be hosted by comedian Marcello Hernández, and voting is actually still open if you want to get your two cents in. July 17 Descendants: Wicked Wonderland – PremiereAmerica's Funniest Home Videos Seasons 19-21Probably one of the few highlights on this list for the kiddos, the fairy tale-inspired Descendants franchise is getting a new entry. Wicked Wonderland is a direct sequel to 2024's The Rise of Red and will stream on Disney+ the day after premiering on the Disney Channel. Disney+ is also picking up a couple (more) seasons of the 2000’s classic, America’s Home Videos. From Nat Geo, the series will include three episodes of Loki actor Tom Hiddleston exploring the ruins of Pompeii to learn more about the town itself and the eruption that destroyed it. On a happier note, Disney+ will be premiering a new Disney Princess stream featuring an always-on marathon of, you guessed it, Disney princess movies from across generations. While we don’t know who exactly is playing in the game yet, Disney+ will also be streaming the WNBA’s All-Star Game. July 26Women’s Sports Sundays – NWSL: Angel City FC vs. Racing Louisville (ESPN, ESPN Deportes) – 9pm ETJuly 28Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro – New EpisodeJuly 29King & Prince: Our Meet-Up in LA – New EpisodeX-Men '97 Season 2 – New EpisodeJuly 30Disney Jr. Play Break: Shorts Season 1 – New EpisodeLollapalooza Livestream Day 1Disney+ will also be streaming Lollapalooza, a massive music festival hosted at Grant Park in Chicago. This year’s lineup is headlined by Charli XCX, Tate McRae, Lorde, Olivia Dean, John Summit, JENNIE, The Smashing Pumpkins, and The xx. While this schedule is limited to July, Disney+ will be streaming all three days of the festival through August 1. July 31Lollapalooza Livestream Day 2Project Runway Season 22 – New EpisodeBanana Ball: Tailgaters vs. Party Animals (ESPN2) – 9pm ETDisney+ Plans and BundlesStandalone Disney+ plans currently start at $11.99. While the service offered a bundle deal back in March, we haven’t seen any more discounts since then. If you're looking to save on a subscription, a Disney+ streaming bundle is your best bet in July. Especially now that Hulu and Disney+ are basically the same service.Looking for more things to watch this month?
